Do I say "Amen" with conviction?

The Great Amen

The Eucharistic Prayer ends when we say or sing a loud, joyous “Amen.” This is our “So be it” to what the priest has prayed. We participate in the offering of Jesus to the Father. What a privilege that is!

Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski, 2022, Passport to the Eucharist, p. 44

Charles, to say "Amen" with conviction is to affirm your faith with a heart full of belief and trust in God's promises. Reflecting on your commitment to spiritual growth and the importance you place on the Mass and prayer, this simple word becomes a powerful declaration of your faith.

When you say "Amen," consider it not just as an ending to a prayer, but as a moment of personal commitment to the truths you've just prayed for or heard. It's an opportunity to internally and externally express your agreement with the divine, your hope in the resurrection, and your trust in God's plan.

Let your "Amen" be a seal on your prayers, a moment where you recognize the presence of God in your life. This conviction can transform your spiritual practice, making each "Amen" a testament to your living faith.
